This “Sharpie” version of the Nike Air Foamposite One wasn’t actually created by Nike. Instead, Penny was being hassled by the NBA about wearing his all-Royal Foams, so he went in the locker room and took a Sharpie to meet the NBA’s 50/50 guidelines for sneakers back in the league at that time. The shoe features an all-Royal Blue Foamposite base with a Black upper and matching Black Sharpie detailing throughout the Foam shell. An icy translucent outsole completes the full look. Essentially an accidental design that Penny Hardaway had to comply with the NBA’s guidelines in order for the silhouette to appropriately compliment the Orlando Magics’ uniform, the basketball sneaker is defined by Black Sharpie accents gracing the Foamposite’s shell, which provides a complementing contrast across its predominantly Royal Blue palette.
